What drives the cost of an exhibition stand?
Size. Floor space is the biggest single factor. Costs scale per square metre, but not perfectly linearly. A well-designed 36sqm stand can outperform a lazy 100sqm one, and your stand should be built to work the space you've booked, not just fill it.
Design tier. A smart, clean build with custom walls, branding and lighting sits at the entry level. Feature elements, custom joinery and statement lighting push you into premium territory. Sculptural forms, tactile textures and full sensory experiences, the kind of build that wins Best Stand awards, sit at the top.
AV and technology. TV screens are the affordable way to bring movement to a stand. LED walls make a serious impact and carry serious infrastructure requirements, which is why they add meaningfully to any budget.
Custom furniture and lounge areas. Built-in lounge pockets, bars and meeting nooks turn a stand from a display into a destination. They're also custom-fabricated, so they're priced as builds, not rentals.
Show logistics. Venue, city, install windows and rigging requirements all move the number. A stand at CTICC in Cape Town and the same stand at Gallagher in Johannesburg won't cost identical amounts. We build in our 3,000sqm Cape Town factory and install anywhere in South Africa.
How to make your exhibition stand budget go further?
Book your builder early. Late briefs mean rush fees, limited material options and compromised design. Three to four months out is the sweet spot for major shows like Electra Mining, Decorex and Mining Indaba.
Reuse and refurbish. A well-built custom stand doesn't have to be a single-use expense. Our store-and-maintain model keeps your stand in our factory between shows, refreshed and rebranded for each outing. Over three shows, it's the difference between paying for three stands and paying for one and a bit.

A custom 18sqm stand typically starts around R110,000 for a clean, professional build and rises from there with design ambition and AV.
How much does a 6x6 (36sqm) exhibition stand cost?
Expect roughly R220,000 to R360,000 for most custom 36sqm builds, before LED walls and custom lounge areas.
